After a decade of bartending and traveling the world, with her International Studies BA in pocket, Dania Mossman (owner + founder) returned home to Hawaii, ready to start something she could call her own! She decided to mix up some fun, fresh island cocktails in O`ahu's event scene, which led to the launch of Tropical Moon as a cocktail catering company. She quickly fell in love with so many facets of the creative world of weddings and events and with her knack for DETAIL, ORGANIZATION, and DESIGN. Tropical Moon Events has since then grown to become a full-service planning, coordination, bar and waitstaff company.
Having now served O`ahu since 2011, Tropical Moon Events (planning/coordination) and Star Bar Hawaii (bar/waitstaff), have earned a reputation for high-end service with a focus in ho`okipa (hospitality).
We've grown our team of talented coordinators and planners to help serve couples near and far. Our brilliant team's main goal is to make planning fun and STRESS-FREE, and create incredible, MEMORABLE events in Hawaii. - I'm originally from the North Shore of Oahu, but I've travelled the world over and lived in all the coldest places!
- I'm a singer and my husband is a drummer. When I'm not planning weddings or being "mom" for my two boys, I'm singing with the band :)
- I love stationary! A blank page and colored markers provide limitless possibilities...
I'm a problem solver and I thrive on challenges. Where there's a will, there's always a way!
Weddings are amazing in so many regards. Getting to be a part of a monumental event in someone's life, working with so many talented creatives and entrepreneurs, and seeing it all come together in an epic, magical experience is a constant source of inspiration for me.

My EXTREME attention to detail - Im on it!! From all your decor items down to the timing of your speeches. I’m known for my very thorough timelines and I’m great at keeping weddings on track and running smoothly. And of course, if you ever have any hair or makeup issues, I got you covered!
I absolutely LOVE WEDDINGS!! I love that all the wedding I have planned are so different & unique and how they truly represent my clients personalities. It keeps me inspired and excited when a new client comes my way!! During my free time, I love creating stained glass pieces and am an aspiring potter.
For years, I worked as a professional organizer!
Growing up, I always wanted to be an interior designer. I love existing in beautiful spaces that make you feel welcome and cozy. Having worked in restaurants the majority of my adult life, I realized how much of an impact I could make by creating unforgettable experiences for people. Putting those passions together, weddings were a no-brainer. I love taking such a special day, and ensuring that it is everything the couple envisions and more.
I'm a sponge. At every wedding I've attended or worked, I've learned and absorbed. I've seen what can go wrong, what can go right, what questions to ask, and how to over-prepare for complications along the way. No detail is too small!

- I am originally from Boston and have a huge family!
- I used to be a competitive dancer.
- I traveled to Hawaii for my “semester away” program, fell in love with it, and moved back after graduating.
My passion for weddings began when I first moved to Hawaii and had a part-time job being a wedding caterer. I was fascinated by the coordinators while watching all the work they did behind the scenes. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment while working, and I knew at that point I wanted to take on a greater role in the wedding industry. I have now worked at some of the most distinguished wedding venues on Oahu and have worked alongside multiple coordinators as well as florists. I am so excited to now be an event coordinator with Tropical Moon Events!
I have a calm demeanor yet strong organizational approach. I am always one-step ahead of the game. Every wedding is so different, and I have seen what works and what doesn’t.
